Dynastes tityus is also known as the Eastern Hercules beetle. They are found in the Eastern parts of United States. Although their horns aren’t as impressive as their western counterpart(Dynastes grantii), their yellow coloration and long life span make them a popular beetle species to have as a pet.
Primarily feeds on rotten hardwood or flake soil.
Beetle larvae go through 3 different larval phases: L1, L2, and L3. After the L3 stage, the larva pupates to turn into an adult beetle!
